Hey Taurus it appears Renesola (SOL) is increasing on volume and filling a prior GAP from 9/30/09 after the offering of its shelf stock F415/F3. It appears that the MACD, RSI, and the 20 periods with 2 stdev bollinger bands are all indicating this as a BULLISH TRENd. All of the moving averages have been broken. What is left as resistance? I think this may be another episode of the rally during May – June!!!

No worries Matthew. As for an update on Renesola (SOL), you are correct to say that there are quite a few resistance levels in the way of the stock advancement upwards. In fact, the recent moves for the last two months shows that this stock might be forming a Bear Flag, which is a bearish chart pattern. This bear flag is formed by two parallel lines, by joining the lows of 3rd and 27th November, and joining the highs of 16th November and 7th December. If prices manage to break below the lower trendline of the bear flag with increased volume, it would potentially mean that the stock might be heading downwards, possibly to $3.27, the next strong support. Good luck!

Hey Taurus, thank you for your last reply about Renesola a while back I appreciate it. Currently it appears that (SOL) has bottomed out and has a reversal trend line indicating a slow rebound. Currently it appears that renesola will have to break the 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 day moving averages which all are priced around 4.10 – 4.55. This appears to be a resistance line that may be hard to break seeing how it is close to the support prices on 7/8/09 and 10/2/09 which is also a resistance point on 11/16/09. Please let me know if this appears to be correct!

    Thanks guys,

    Hi! :)

    Here’s my take on KPPC:

KPPC has had a decent rally from its Feb 2009 lows, but that trend has since been broken when the stock price dropped below its 20 day exponential moving average in Oct 2009.

This moving avg has very well supported the stock price during the 6-month rally. However, with the support broken, I’d stay out of this stock for the time bieng, unless the price is able to break above this moving average again.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Sam,

MOT reports earnings on Thu Oct 29, before the market opens. It’ll be hard to predict how the earnings are going to be like, although I wouldn’t expect a AMZN or AAPL like power rally. But who knows?

MOT stock, however, is currently sitting right at its major support line – the 50 day exponential moving average. This support remains unbroken since the rally that began in Mar 2009, so any dips below this support will raise alarm bells.

Going forward, expect MOT to be volatile as it reports earnings in 2 days time.

Hey Matt, here’s a quick update on Renesola (SOL). It has broken below a critical support of $4.20 and is now looking bearish. We might be looking for some support somewhere around the $3.00 to $3.26 area. If it does break below this support region, a test of $2.07 is likely.

Although the pace of the recent decline suggests that a technical rebound might occur soon, overall, the outlook is bearish and we wouldn’t recommend going long anytime soon on this stock. Good luck!

Hi Harry, DXD looks like it’s very near short term support at its closing price of $34.47 today. But as per our previous DXD post, we usually do not recommend trading against market trends, unless there’s evidence of a strong reversal pattern. We have not seen such a pattern for DXD yet. DXD is clearly in a downtrend and a technical rebound may not be sustainable. If you are, however, trading DXD as a hedging strategy for your portfolio, then I think it’ll be ok to take up a small position if there is a rally over the next few trading days. Again, as this is a very risky trade, do manage your risks. Good luck!
